Tropical Storm Bonnie Forces Oil Cleanup Pause
Tropical Storm Bonnie is already flooding Haiti, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, where a 14 year old boy was killed by drowning in a swollen river caused. In the Dominican Republic, nearly 500 people had been evacuated, floods have destroyed many rice fields.
Wind speeds near 35 miles an hour were recorded at the center of the depression.
The sky was completely dark during the storm in the Bahamas Islands and Turkey and Caicos, Rain has fallen in all the islands.
The meteorologists of the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami, predict it could reach the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday.
Evacuation is being made by all near the oil spill which pauses the cleanup in that area. The cap will remain, although monitoring will not be possible for several days due to evacuation.
